Practice Philosophy

I have found in my practice that deep tissue work does not need to be painful in order to be effective. I believe that by working at a pace that allows the muscles to relax, as opposed to working too deeply, too quickly, (causing the muscle to tense up and "guard" itself) brings about a much more beneficial and pleasant treatment. The result of this is that the goals of pain relief, reducing postural limitations and relaxation are achieved, all without feeling sore afterward.
